A competence network for intelligent analytical methods
There are numerous innovative and yet untapped development and application potentials in the field of analytics. Within the smart analytics network, new partnerships will be initiated to create synergy effects to develop innovative product ideas and new application perspectives for analytical technologies.
The international cooperation project “smart analytics” was launched in May 2020 - initially limited to one and a half years. In the meantime, an active ZIM cooperation network within 16 companies, 11 national research partners and 5 international partners from France and Austria has been established under the leadership of BioRegio STERN Management GmbH and the foreign coordinator, ISOCS (International Society for Olfaction and Chemical Sensing). The network offers the participating partners ideal conditions for receiving funding from the BMWK for innovative research and development projects. So far, research and development projects from the STERN BioRegion with a volume of over five million euros were launched in the first project phase. Many more promising projects are in the pipeline.
The "Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM)" funded the smart analytics network until November 2024.
Smart analytics - Goals
- Establish international competence network for highly innovative analytical processes
- Develop new analytical methods & applications for health care / industry / research
- Promote national and international cooperation (SME-SME; SME-RTO)
- Create synergy effects through new technology combinations (AI, ICT, analytics, sensors)
- Unfold new application potential through automation and intelligent evaluation
- Use digital networking / AI / data platforms for new value creation strategies
