Interfakultäres Institut für Biochemie

Interdisciplinary biochemical and biomedical research

The Interfaculty Institute for Biochemistry (IFIB) at the University of Tübingen was established in 2004 by the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine with the goal of carrying out interdisciplinary biochemical and biomedical research. In addition, the IFIB is closely linked with the Centre of Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP) in Tübingen.

Modern biochemical and biomedical research focuses on complex issues. Cooperation between different groups of researchers around the world is therefore absolutely necessary. The IFIB participates in many international collaborations and is part of numerous research networks.
