Expert Knowledge First-Hand

Following the welcome address by Dr. Klaus Eichenberg, Managing Director of BioRegio STERN Management GmbH, Dr. Ulrike Brucklacher, a specialist lawyer for medical law at VOELKER & Partner, introduced participants to the complex fundamentals of the German reimbursement system.

Karin Maag, an impartial member of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA), then provided fascinating insights into the tasks and decision-making processes of the G-BA.

A particular highlight was the personal account of Dr. Alfred Stett, Managing Director of Okuvision GmbH, who shared his experience of transitioning a self-pay product to reimbursement by statutory health insurance as part of the trial procedure.

To conclude, Dr. Christoph Renz, also a specialist lawyer for medical law at VOELKER & Partner, explained the key steps for inclusion in the medical aids directory.

Interactive Exchange and Networking

The seminar offered not only in-depth expert knowledge but also ample opportunity for discussion and individual questions. In two discussion rounds, participants were able to engage directly with the experts and raise specific practical issues. Even after the official program had ended, there was still time for personal conversations and networking.
