A nationwide antibody study by the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) was launched in the district of Reutlingen at the beginning of July with the aim of gaining a better overview of the occurrence of SARS-CoV-2 infections. In addition to four other antibody tests, a new detection method will be used to determine the immune status of the population. This method is being jointly developed by the NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute at the University of Tübingen in Reutlingen and the HZI. The test centre, in which representative blood samples will be taken, was established in the heart of Reutlingen.
